Annual Conference & ICT Awards

This annual event held at Equatorial Hotel Melaka on September 3-4, 2014 was well attended by 280 delegates and exhibitors. The conference as usual showcased IT products exhibited by our Platinum and Gold Sponsors as well as many IT vendors, who are Share/Guide members, at their respective booths.

The conference was formally officiated by Mr. Paul Moung, Managing Director, IBM Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

There were eight main tent topics and eight breakout sessions for the duration of the two-day event. Guest speakers, Ms Jojo Struys (on Power Of Positivity), Mr Michael Teoh (on Managing Multigenerational Workforce – Gen Y Perspective), Mr Winson Han (on GST) and Encik Noriswadi Ismail (on Personal Data Protection Act) provided some light moments amidst the various technology centric presentations by Share/Guide Sponsors and booth exhibitors.

Share/Guide ICT Achievement Awards 2014 were presented to four member organizations for their IT innovative initiatives implemented in their respective organizations during the year, namely :

1. eGenting Holdings Sdn. Bhd. – “Genting Premium Hotel Superior Wireless Internet”
2. EPF – “Data Loss Prevention”
3. RHB Bank – “Revolution Journey For RHB Enterprise General Ledger and Procurement”
4. Tenaga Nasional Bhd. – “myTNB Mobile Application”

All the award winners presented their respective achievements and graciously shared their experiences with the delegates in the spirit of knowledge sharing within the Share/Guide member community.

Once again, it was another successful conference and all the planning and hard work that went into hosting this event were well worth it.
