Annual Conference & ICT Awards

This annual event held at Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson on October 27-28, 2015 was well attended by 250 delegates and exhibitors.  The conference as usual showcased IT products exhibited by our Platinum and Gold Sponsors as well as many IT vendors, who are Share/Guide members, at their respective booths.

The conference was formally officiated by Ybhg Dato’ Ng Wan Peng, Chief Operating Officer – Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) Sdn. Bhd. followed by a Keynote Address by Ms. Chong Chye Neo, Managing Director, IBM Malaysia.

There were five main tent topics and four breakout sessions for the duration of the two-day event.  Guest speakers, Mr Wong Yu Jin (on Backache and Ergonomics), Prof Khaeruddin Sudharmin (on The Current Malaysian Economic Scenario) and Mr Chan Chi Fei (on The Internet of Things start with Intel Inside) provided some light moments amidst the various technology centric presentations by Share/Guide Sponsors and booth exhibitors.

Share/Guide ICT Achievement Awards 2015 were presented to seven member organizations for their IT innovative initiatives implemented in their respective organizations during the year, namely :

1. AIA Bhd. – “How IT Made its Mark in AIA Malaysia’s Complex Acquisition and Integration Exercise”
2. eGenting Sdn. Bhd. – “New Data Centre for Resort World Genting”
3. EPF – “Hassle Free Withdrawal”
4. Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia) Berhad – “Identity Auto Provisioning (IDAP)”
5. Hong Leong Bank Berhad – “HLBB Oracle Private Cloud”
6. HSBC Software Development (M) Sdn. Bhd. – “HSDM Global Wealth Transformation Programme”
7. Tenaga Nasional Berhad – “Implementation of Smartview for Outage Management in TNB Dristribution”

All the award winners presented their respective achievements and graciously shared their experiences with the delegates in the spirit of knowledge sharing within the Share/Guide member community.

Once again, it was another successful conference and all the planning and hard work that went into hosting this event were well worth it.
