October 8 & 9, 2013-This annual event held at Genting Highlands International Convention Centre on Oct 8-9,2013 was attended by 280 delegates and exhibitors. The conference as usual showcased IT products exhibited by our Platinum and Gold Sponsors as well as many IT vendors, who are SGAM members, at their respective booths.
The conference was officiated by YBhg Datuk Mohd. Badlisham Ghazali, CEO of Multimedis Development Corporation (MDec).
There were ten main tent topics and seven breakout sessions for the duration of the two-day conference. Guest Speakers Dr Khoo Keng Hor (on Sun Tzu Art of War), Cik Rafidah Mat Isa (on Social Media), Mr Ricky Wong (on Taking Charge of Your Life), Encik Hamzan Arshad (on A Survivor’s Journey) and Dr Amir Farid (on Managing Stress) provided some light moments amidst the various technology centric presentations by SGAM Sponsors and vendors.
SGAM ICT Awards 2013 were presented to five organizations for their IT innovative initiatives implemented in their respective organizations during the year, namely:
- Tenaga Nasional Bhd. – “Business Intelligence in TNB
- Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia) Bhd. – “Server Consolidation & Optimization (SCO) Programme”
- eGenting Holdings Sdn. Bhd. – Electronic System Access Request (eSAR)
- Malayan Banking Bhd. – Regional Cash Management System
- EPF – Establishment Of Testing Framework at EPF
All the award winners presented their respective achievements and graciously shared their experience with the delegates in the spirit of knowledge sharing within the SGAM member community.
Once again, it was another successful conference and all the planning and hard work that went into hosting this event were worth it.
