November 9-10, 2013-The 4th SGAM Treasure Hunt event started on a cool Saturday morning from the KL Bird Park in Lake Gardens. Long before the early sunrise at 7.00am, 89 participants representing 23 teams from SGAM member organizations were already registering and collecting their tulips and breakfast. As soon as all participants were ready, the event organizer briefing was conducted regarding the last minute instructions. The contingent was flagged off by Mr. Lee Kong Hor, Vice Chairman of SGAM and also the Treasure Hunt Organizing Chairman.
The convoy of cars then took off towards the sea side resort of Swiss Garden Golf & SPA Resort , Damai Laut in Lumut.
Along the long journey, all participants “hunted” for answers based on the tulips and clues provided along the various towns. The 250km journey took participants along the old trunk roads, reaching the final station at the Resort after approximately 6-8 hours, in the late afternoon.
After a refreshing rest, participants were treated to a sumptuous sea food dinner at the sea fronting restaurant, followed by a presentation by the event organizer, showing the participants photographed candidly at various stops in action.
Finally, it was time to announce the winners where Team – Just 4 Fun from HSBC emerged Champion followed by runners-up Team – Fun Hunters also from HSBC and third place Team – EPFIT from EPF. The night ended with a karaoke session for those who still had the energy to sing along.
Based on feedbacks, participants thoroughly enjoyed themselves during this week-end event, to be away from their busy work schedule.
